Laura’s debut feature-length film, I Am Maris, was acquired by NETFLIX and streamed from April 2019-April 2021. It is distributed globally, domestically, and on the educational market by Oscar-winning ro*co films and can now be viewed on Apple TV and Amazon Prime. After the Netflix premiere, the film was licensed by lululemon athletica for a 5-city theatrical tour and speaker series.
Laura has also written, produced, directed and edited two more feature documentaries and three short films (two narratives and one documentary), which have been official selections at film festivals around the world including: the prestigious Academy Award Qualified LAShortsFest, SF Indie Fest, Hollywood Film Festival, and DocEdge New Zealand.
For clients, Laura has produced entertainment, marketing, and social media video content for artists, influencers and corporations. Clients include: Toyota, AwestruckTV, BabyCenter.com, Sunfunder, Netflix, Powis Parker, Sephora, Food Share, SpeedShare, OneDaySF and New York Rock Exchange. Winner of the #BlogHer 2017 Voices of the Year Award for viral social media video “If Siri Was a Mom.”
Before devoting herself to filmmaking, she spent a decade as an art & editorial director, creative strategist, and trends researcher in the publishing industry. She holds a Master’s Degree in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor’s Degree from Lewis and Clark College, in Portland, OR.
