Happy Mother’s Day

Most of what we do as moms is behind the scenes and behind the camera. If we have the chance to be in the spotlight, we all too often shy away. “Oh don’t put ME in the picture…” But just as we want to capture memories of our kids, our kids will someday want to look back at these moments and remember their childhood. Mom is a big part of those memories! You don’t want them to look back at the photos and videos and think Dad made all the fun!

So this Mother’s Day, celebrate your family and your starring role in it. And make sure to get in the picture.

Last weekend I had the pleasure to film this beautiful family in San Francisco. I never know how smoothly (or not) things will go when working with small children. But I couldn’t wish for more camera friendly kids than Annabelle and Connor, 5-year-old twins, and their baby brother, Bennett. I wanted to surprise their mom, Amy, by adding a Mother’s Day theme to the video. So when Amy took Bennett up for his nap, the twins and I did a little impromptu interview. Their answers about their mom became the framework for this montage.
